America’s Auctioneer serves at Stand in Honor Benefit, Myers Jackson Moderator
America’s Auctioneer serves at Stand in Honor Benefit, Myers Jackson Moderator at the four corners of America. As an Auctioneer Myers Jackson will direct a fundraiser and on the second day of the event Myers Jackson will moderate a conversation between Hershel ” Woody” Williams and Navajo Code Talker Thomas Begay. All to benefit the community of recieveing the installation of a Gold Star Memorial Monument.

Gold Star memorial monuments are coming to many cities throughout the nation. With each one comes some fundraising and prestigious ceremonies. Such will be the case on Wednesday and Thursday, June 26 and 27 in Farmington, NM. Two days full of honor and patriotism.
First on the agenda is the Hero’s Welcome on Wednesday, June 26 at noon. Honored Guests will be Hershel “Woody” Williams – Medal of Honor Recipient for the Battle of Iwo Jima and Thomas H. Begay – Navajo Code Talker. A total first responders escort the motorcade beginning in Bloomfield, NM, through Aztec to its destination in Farmington. This is a public event.

Second is the Welcome Luncheon-a private event beginning at 1:30pm. Attending this event will be Government dignitaries, SJC Gold Star Committee members, special guests and VIP’s.
Then rounding out the day’s events is the Stand In Honor Banquet at 5:30pm at the Farmington Civic Center. This private fundraising event will honor Gold Star Families, introduce Woody to sponsors and familiarize attendees to the Memorial project. Myers Jackson America’s Auctioneer will be conducting an auction that will raise funds for the monument project.
Indeed Thursday promises to be equally as memorable. Starting with the Ground Breaking Event at 2pm at 3801 N Butler in Farmington, NM. The media and the public are encouraged to join VIP’s and dignitaries at this ceremony which breaks ground on the Gold Star Monument. Woody will give a short public address.
As a matter of fact, Woody has been traveling the country on his mission to place a monument which honors that city’s fallen soldiers and their families. Gold Star families are those whose loved one did not return from war. To date 42 states have monuments.
Lastly will be An Evening with Woody at 7pm. This highly patriotic public event will consist of over one thousand attendees. Opening the event will be season 15 winner of NBC’s The Voice-Chevel Sheppard. Then Woody and Thomas H. Begay will be interviewed on stage. Moderator will be Myers Jackson. Recognition will be given to Hiroshi “Hershey” Miyamura and Thomas H. Begay. Finally, Thomas Begay will close the event by singing the Marines Hymn.

Certainly June 26 and 27 will be days full of memories for all in attendance!
