The Gray County, TX Tax Assessor/Collector is responsible for various duties within the county.
Serving as tax assessor/collector for the Texas county located in the panhandle of the state is Gaye Whitehead. She was first elected to the office of Gray County, TX Tax Assessor/Collector in May of 2003. Her current term expires at the end of the year 2020. Originally, according to the Constitution of 1876, the office of tax assessor/collector was to be elected every other year. However, that was amended in 1954 making it a four year term.
