America’s Auctioneer assists in fundraiser auction for one of Zanesville Professional Firefighters’ own in conjunction with Johnny Nolan auctioneer. After the wife of a Zanesville Professional Firefighter was diagnosed with cancer, the department came together organizing a benefit fundraiser and auction to help the family out. Indeed the community turned out with generous hearts. As did a fellow auctioneer from several states over…Myers Jackson America’s Auctioneer.

Assisting One of Zanesville’s Own

To begin with, Austin Eveland is a firefighter with Zanesville Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 88 in Zanesville, Ohio. In June of 2020, Austin’s wife Kayla was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Consequently, the wife and mother of 3 bravely underwent 8 treatments of chemo. As a result, eight months later in February came the news that the cancer was nearly eradicated.

However, with this great news comes the realization that Kayla still has a journey ahead of her yet. She now prepares to begin stem cell transplants. This in an effort to prevent the cancer from returning. In fact, this next destination in Kayla’s road to recovery will consist of 4 weeks in the hospital receiving high doses of chemo. Not to mention the fact that Kayla had been hired at a local hospital just prior to her diagnosis. Meaning she was not able to qualify for total health benefits. Then with treatment, she has been unable to work. Therefore, the city knew it was time to assist one of Zanesville’s own.

Auctioneers Assisting with this Zanesville Firefighter Fundraiser

Immediately, the planning began for the fundraiser benefit. First, a venue. The Scale Haus Banquet Barn. Indeed an elegant building popular to the area. Interestingly, the Scale Haus was once a meat processing barn. Second, the food. Catering by Rittberger’s North Market. Next, entertainment. Emcee and DJ for the evening is Kurtis Nichols. The night will consist of casino games, multiple gun raffles and a live auction. Of course that means an auctioneer is necessary.

As a matter of fact, this fundraiser auction will have not just one, but two auctioneers. Ohio auctioneer Johnny Nolan will be auctioning incredible items to the highest bidders. Assisting Johnny will be DIY Network’s Myers Jackson America’s Auctioneer. Indeed, donating the auction items are local businesses and community members as well as one of the auctioneers. Items include: fishing or golf packages, grills, outdoor furniture or accessories, car care, jewelry and ladies accessories, spa experiences, gift cards. As well as a Zanesville Fire Department and Local Union 88 memory chest donated by Myers Jackson.
