Karalyn Martin Ms. Veteran America Finalist 2020 at the Tribute to Fiske Hanley in Fort Worth. Karalyn is a United States Marine Corps sergeant. As well, she is advocating for Final Salute, Inc., an organization whose aim is to help and support homeless women veterans and their children with safe and suitable housing.

In fact, Karalyn told of a time when she herself was homeless. As well as telling of how close the organization of Final Salute,Inc is to her heart. Additionally, Karalyn spoke about realizing that for many women veterans and their children, in the pursuit of shelter, they wind up in places not suitable for them or especially their children.

Karalyn Martin Recites Pledge of Allegiance

To begin with, Karalyn Martin Ms. Veteran America 2020’s first contribution to the event was reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Next was reading a POW Flag poem. However, those were just a couple of Karalyn’s contributions to the event. Additionally, she participated in presenting a restored retired POW flag to the son of Fiske Hanley, Tom. Additionally, Karalyn took to the stage to share about her heart for homeless women veterans. Furthermore explaining how she will do whatever it takes to bring awareness to the mission of Final Salute, Inc. In doing such, Karalyn is selling Ms Veteran America 2020 challenge coins with all proceeds going to Final Salute, Inc. As well as a website selling a variety of merchandise, including face masks. Again, all proceeds go to Final Salute, Inc.

As well, Karalyn Martin Ms. Veteran America Finalist 2020 made proficient use of her time during the event participating in the live auction. To begin with, wearing her banner as finalist for Ms. Veteran America while showcasing the skills of another Army veteran and Purple Heart recipient, Jeremy Jackson.

Indeed the drawing by Jeremy was a composition telling the story of Fiske Hanley’s parachuting from the B-29 Bomber as he was shot down by the Japanese battleship Yamoto. Markedly, during that bombing mission Fiske was serving as the flight engineer. Interestingly, the print also contains a rendition of Fiske’s favorite photograph taken at the Iwo Jima Survivors Reunion in 2019.

While speaking about the astounding story of an American Hero, Karalyn interacted with the crowd. In fact the expanded version of the artwork enlarged in scale was framed and ready to hang on the wall. Indeed the bids soared higher and higher reaching the winning bid of $700 for the print.

Furthermore, Karalyn has just a few weeks left to complete a series of tasks as she heads to the announcements of the finals in Orlando, Florida. Markedly, a couple of the contestant requirements for Ms. Veteran America are being a veteran or still serving, and active involvement in the local community as a volunteer.

Such as the event Saturday evening volunteering her time and effort in the live auction helping raise money for Roll Call Fort Worth. As well as advocating for Final Salute, Inc. and sharing with the audience the important mission of the organization. And, as aforementioned, she is a United States Marine Corps Sergeant.
