A Little about Paducah Texas
Claiming its status as “Crossroads of America,” Paducah Texas is the seat of Cottle County immediately south of the Texas Panhandle. It is named after Paducah, Kentucky in the middle of the 1800s. After Cottle County was organized in the post office established a tiny town was founded in 1910.
Every year visitors come out to the Cotton Festival in September and Old Settlor’s Reunion in the spring. The population of Paducah itself remains around 1100. Cottle County Courthouse and Paducah City Hall and Fire Department, nonetheless, presently reflect every bit of their stately historic presence well many other old red brick buildings await regeneration.
