Recently Sold Dallas County Home Stats

Of course these 23 recently sold homes in Dallas County feature 2-4 bedrooms, 1-3 bathrooms, 764-2,479 square feet on 1.0-2.665 acres. Sold prices ranging from $115,000-$195,000. In fact, three cities saw the most home sales. These being 6 homes in Dallas, 4 in DeSoto and 3 in Lancaster.

Recently Sold Home: Dallas

First, the city of Dallas had the most homes sold during the past year. One of which being a 1 story house built in 1953. The 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home sits on 1.2 acres. This home is within close proximity to major thoroughfares such as I-20 and 635.

In large cities, properties that have close access to frequently traveled roadways are beneficial. The ability to bypass numerous side streets and stop lights is appealing to buyers who are purchasing based on commute time.

Recently Sold Home: DeSoto

Next, DeSoto had 4 home sales. One such home is a 2 story 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house built in 1979. Not only is this home close to shopping for essentials, it is also on a cozy 2.56 acre lot. This property advertised the potential to use it for making a fixer upper of the home. Or as a  building site for commercial property.

Certainly everyone enjoys having choices. It is no different when purchasing property. In fact, selling property that has either residential or commercial potential provides the opportunity to attract a larger group of buyers.

Recently Sold Home: Lancaster

Following closely behind DeSoto is Lancaster with 3 homes sold. One of which was a one story 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home built in 1987 with custom upgrades. Utilizing the nearly 1.5 acres, the seller made room for buyers with horses. The inside of the home was updated to accommodate current desired features. Such as luxury bathrooms and recessed lighting. As well as tile and wood floors as opposed to carpeting.

Indeed buyers today have a style that demands more than the housing market was offering three decades ago. Taking the time to make upgrades to the home bringing it into the current time period invites more potential buyers.

Making the Right Choices

Choosing to put your home on the market and sell it is more than just the decision to do so. Consideration must be taken as to what today’s buyers are looking for. As well as what today’s buyers in the area you are selling are looking for.

Is your home in a prime location? Let it be known. Does your property have multiple uses? Inform potential buyers. If you put the time and effort into making upgrades to the property, share about them! The result just may be a sale.
