Rescheduling of Woody’s Salute A Tribute to the Nation’s Last Living MOH Recipient of WWII
RESCHEDULING of Woody’s Salute A Tribute to the Nation’s Last Living MOH Recipient of WWII
Fellow Veterans, Friends, Business Owners and Community Leaders,
On behalf of the Woody Williams Foundation, we, USVet.fund, Inc. is writing this letter to all parties, that the Woody’s Salute event that was scheduled for Wednesday, October 13, 2021, has been postponed with a specific date forthcoming.
Given the current state of affairs with the rising coronavirus (Covid-19), both USVet.fund, Inc. and the Woody Williams Foundation executive board feels we cannot risk the safety and health of the nation’s last living Medal of Honor recipient, attendees, or guest speakers. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that might result from this change.
We continue in the excitement that the Woody’s Salute event will be a monumental day, where we will gather to pay tribute to Hershel Woodrow “Woody” Williams, CW04, United States Marine Corps (ret.), the last living Medal of Honor recipient of World War II.
We are extremely grateful to each individual and group that has made a contribution. Your continued commitment is valuable to this effort and shall not go unnoticed. The ticket sales, sponsorships, and donations for the Live Auction and Silent Auction are ongoing. The planning and arrangements for a new date to be scheduled are being undertaken with all necessary parties.
Thanks to the city of Arlington, Texas, and the Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau for their participation and generous support in hosting such an astonishing event.
Sincerely,
Myers Jackson
