America’s Auctioneer Myers Jackson
I have often been asked, “Why are you America’s Auctioneer?” Well, it all started a few blocks from here on Monticello in a quaint residential district in Fort Worth, TX. However, my career did not start here in Fort Worth. It began about twenty years ago. First with me receiving my real estate broker license in my birth state of Florida in 1998. Upon graduating from Real Estate School, and years before becoming America’s Auctioneer, I worked with Ed O’Donnell. For 2 years I would learn valuable real estate brokerage operations from Ed and other top rated real estate professionals.
America’s Auctioneer Begins with a Road Trip
Next, in 2000 I began the journey to becoming America’s Auctioneer. My friend Harry Parameter and I took a road trip to St. Louis, the home of Missouri Auction School. From day 1 of auction school the passion was ignited within me.
Upon graduating auction school a requirement was doing a public auction. My first auction was at Barks Auction House in Jackson, Missouri. At the finish of the auction the owner said to me, “You are going to be a fine auctioneer.” That boosted my confidence and America’s Auctioneer was born!
Oh! The Places America’s Auctioneer Has Seen!
Thus I would go on from that day to build an auction career from coast to coast. America’s Auctioneer has seen some beautiful places throughout America. Even internationally. I’ve been able to see America on the back roads, the dusty roads.
I’ve been able to see America through the glass of 10 to 15,000 square foot homes.
I’ve been able to see America through the pine trees of South Georgia.
I’ve been able to see America through the plains right here where the West starts-in Fort Worth.
America’s Auctioneer: Making Friends and Selling Property
As well as creating the greatest friendships along the way. Working for several prominent auction companies such as Auction Company of America with 3-time champion auctioneer Jim Gall. Jim Gall is a friend who has been a mentor to me. From there working with professional real estate companies in South Georgia on up to New York. I have sold horse farms. I have sold land. I have sold houses big and small. I have sold houses on the waterfront, the riverfront and the beachfront. I have sold land with trees. I have sold land without trees. Including my largest land sale which was 9,000 acres.
Uniquely, the year 2005 brought me the opportunity to be the auctioneer for the Playboy Mansion.
America’s Auctioneer Has an Impressive Resume
Then a few years later, right here in Fort Worth, Texas, something dramatic happened. An event which would evolve into my being cast as America’s Auctioneer on TV distributed across the USA and 45 additional countries.
Throughout this 20 year tenure I have been licensed in as many as 12 states and an additional 15 states where I can auction personal property and real estate. As well as competing in many auctioneering contests where I have finished first, second, third and, yes, sometimes last place. And attaining the coveted Chuck Cumberland Sportsmanship Award in 2016. Friendships have been made across the world: the United States, Australia, South Africa, Ireland, Nigeria to name a few.
Moreover, America’s Auctioneer is a calling and I plan to continue traveling throughout the United States of America. I’ll go to Canada. I’ll go to Central America. In fact I’ve already been down to Panama, Belize and Costa Rica.
